Wherever you go – You are always home

Bryan,

I write this letter to you from my own experience. As this is what life has taught me.

Sometimes a man needs a fresh start in life. Sometimes a man, needs to discover a new place, so that he might discover who he really is inside.

It was that way with me.

In my old life, I had fallen into a pattern and I wasn’t growing any more. My mind and my heart had become stagnant – like a pool of water. I wasn’t moving any more.

And for me, that was not life. Because life, young man – is meant to be full of movement. It is meant to be a glorious theatre of dance and a never-ending song. And our souls are meant to move and dance like the shimmering waters of a mountain stream. Because movement is the way of life. That is how God designed us.

And now, as you go out there to embark upon your own journey, remember my advice. Always keep moving. And approach everything you encounter with an open mind and an open heart. And you will make many discoveries… both of the world and within yourself.

Your destiny is out there. It is waiting for you. You need only reach out to find it.

And remember wherever you go, God is always, all around you. Wherever you may pitch your tent or make your home, you will always be under the same stars, under the same sky, and under the same sun and moon. They are God’s gift to remind all of us, that wherever we go, we are always home.

This contains a wisdom that I

This contains a wisdom that I wish I had read decades ago, when my adolescence began---it would have made my life understandable.  And the final paragraph contains a wisdom that is applicable to all of us, no matter what stage or age of life.  The whole piece---from first word to last---is brilliant!

a bag of luck and some good advice

When a man goes out into the world for the first time… he needs a bag of luck… and some good advice.
