All of eternity and a day

Folder:
innocence

Blankly, the darkness is empty.

Swallows quivering saints at sea

Lies are not enough to steer

the contempt and lonely me

Provoked by the tender moon

I stare at the wide night

So many stars the twinkle there

Silently, mysteriously in sight

As I lay awake beside the trees

Sleep is moments away

I wish that I could stay

All of eternity and a day

This poem is one of the best I have ever read. Your tempo is much like my own which makes your poems easier for Me to follow. I very much liked the last 4 lines of this poem. Seriously you are amazing writer. So far I have gone through several and have not found one I haven't liked. :)
