Ξανά και ξανά

One minute you're small
Chasing the wind
As though there were no tomorrow
Next minute you're larger
With the sun on your back
And the sky in your eyes
Next thing you know
Your life has changed
In one of two ways
Either you're dying of disaster
Or finishing strong
Caught up in a summer haze
Before you know it
You're fully grown
Wondering where your life has gone
Leaning back
To smell the roses
Inhaling every inch of the scent
Then
Right before your eyes
You are old and gray
Holding on
To your very last moments
Day by glorious day
Then
Without warning
Death comes and claims your soul
Your childhood disappearing
Leaving behind only remnants of the old
Hold onto your days
They are gone before you can even say hello
Nonetheless say goodbye

Once again, I sincerely apologize for my lack of flow. (Also, the title means Time and Time again in Greek...)

Good!

A very stylish interpretation of life, existence, and the approaching death as a whole. I enjoyed the read and look forward to future dark material. :)
