I sang your love song
In a rusty, broken down box car
As we traveled to the moon and back
Wondering where we were going
For we were both too young to know
We were both too young to realize
Where true love lies
I looked in you
And you looked in me
Looking right through each other
To the other side of forever
Where we could die for one another
Just like Romeo and Juliet-
Living and dying that fairy tale romance
Where we were the only two people in the universe
With shooting stars and unicorns
Faeries and true love
Until we woke up yesterday
And realized it was all a dream.

This is a beautiful poem - such deep, yet tender emotion captured in the words. A poem that made me think about fairytales and dreams. I especially loved the line "looking right through each other" - made me think that maybe we should just look at now....and enjoy and cherish what we have right now. You just gave me an idea for a poem - thanks!!
