Dear Cory,
You're a sad, pitiful excuse
For the man that you want to be
I see your eyes
Those sad pools of tears
Forming at the corners of the world
Waiting to fall from the ground
Wanting someone to love you
Searching endlessly
Yet finding lies with every stone you turn
Until they all fall down and crush you.
Dear Cory,
Why do you keep breathing?
You're fighting a losing battle
Don't you know you can't beat your demons?
They were there the day you were born
And they'll laugh the day you die
As they dance on your grave in celebration
Of the wonderful work they did
Driving you to the depths of madness
Into the darkness that became your life
When they all started to say, "I'm sorry".
Dear Cory,
You're like a stone throwing yourself into the water
All you do is sink to the bottom
Letting the water just wear you away
Until you're the nothing that you are
Jagged edges becoming smooth
Smooth edges becoming smoother
And smoother edges become sand
Until you've wasted away
And are forgotten in the background
Of a million wasted days.
