ANCESTRAL IRELAND

Gazing from a distance,
Upon the emerald isle,
Once I had family there,
Though its been quite a while.

Ancient magic dwells within me,
Though the bloodline is thin,
Often pondering to myself,
Whether I still have there any kin.

Like a siren she beckons,
How I wish to draw near,
To rest upon her shores,
And breathe the air sweet and clear.

If time is on my side,
I shall visit one day,
An ancestral home,
Perhaps even stay.
