Staring up,
At the inky black sky,
Filled with stars,
While underneath it I lie.
Filled with peace,
As I breath deep,
Gazing into infinity,
Preparing to sleep.
Listening to a lullaby,
Of nocturnal sound,
The sweet song of nature,
Comes from all around.
Closing my eyes,
While kissed by evening breeze,
Taking it all in,
Completely at ease.
First Off.............
I adored the title and then when I read the sweet simplicity of the poem even then I found it very touching despite its ultra simplicity. It has a purity to it that could make even the most jaded stop to ponder the word pictures you painted. Thanks for sharing. Sincerely, Melissa Lundeen.
