History demolished,
In the name of greed,
A memory erased,
A sad fate indeed.
Structures of brick and stone,
That have weathered many years,
Are now gone at the hand of man,
Yet few shed any tears.
If you don't learn from the past,
You are doomed to repeat it,
Our existence a spiral,
Leading deeper into a pit.
The story of humanity,
Is one of destruction,
It's many pages filled,
With tales of money's seduction.
