AURORA

Undulating streams of moving light,

Glowing gossamer in the sky,

Intangible and ghostly lines,

Draw my eyes but I know not why.

The swirling streaks of vivid color,

On the star filled tapestry of night,

Hypnotically move to and fro,

Truly they are a mesmerizing sight.

Aurora Borealis and Aurora Austrialis,

Simply names given by man,

Unable to fathom the magical sight,

Though not a single mortal mind can.

Born of the suns relentless fire,

They bring color to the poles,

To the natives of long ago,

They were rivers of spirits and souls.

Beautifully written of this lovely phenomenon. I like the first two stanzas the most brilliant imagery and emotion
