Easily overlooked,

I am a shadow in the crowd,

Unknown and unwanted,

My happiness not allowed.

Solitude has ruled my life,

Rarely given any chance,

Even though my lonely heart,

Constantly hungers for romance.

Looking back I can even say,

My very life was a mistake,

Only wanted by my mother,

With her loss my heart did break.

I often ponder to myself,

Who would miss me if dead,

Would anyone mourn my passing,

Would any tears be shed.

My dark thoughts come and go,

A sporadic wish for death avowed,

For I am alone and overlooked,

A shadow in the crowd.
