My grandmother has a garden just beside her house, full of big orchids coloring the trees and plants that she had plant. Is not really common that orchids bloom more than once, but in this case this was not like that. Every time of the year, if it is rainy season or dry season my grandmother´s orchids are always blooming. White, purple, or pink they will color all the green. My grandmother´s pride they are, her orchids are like her daughters. Every morning she goes outside to her little garden and gave her flowers a good morning, she cleans them, water them, and feed them all days. Since I was a little kid I could remember her blooming orchids, all my life she had this passion and all my life she had her garden full of her orchids. Many pets have lived over there, they have remodeled the entire house, kids had play, kids had grown up, time past, but they still be there blooming and coloring. She is a really good gardener I had to say; she is truly passionate about it. Sometimes I go with her to get the supplies for her gardening; scissors, fertilizer, pots, everything for her plants to be healthy and growing. It surprises me how she religiously goes every day to take care of them, and with so much affection she does it. Whether she is sick or my grandfather is sick, whether she is busy, she is always keeping care of her plants. All by herself she had planted and watch them grow; her little baby plants, that with all this time have grown in beautiful grown up orchids. The color and the patterns are something amazing of this beautiful flower. The garden is almost a magic place, small it is, but full of color and life. It’s like all the love of my grandmother is kept in there and when you go outside you can feel it. She is a lovely lady and her garden and plants too. Every day I went to my grandmother´s garden the color, the smell and the feeling of being there make my day, a happy day. Now a day every time I go over there is like a sensorial memory comes to me and I remember all the days I went over there. A lot of childhood memories, a lot of happy memories, and such a lot of life time experience that a little garden in my grandmother´s house can give.
