He saw one mysterious
One shrouded in a sweet mist
Draped in flowing sheets of lace
Gliding graceful and elegant
He saw lines writ on pale skin
Words that would reveal a number or two
If he could brush her golden hair aside
Read them aloud and be spellbound
He saw the sway of smooth curves
Undulations of the hip hypnotic
Like the swinging of a pendulum
Leaving him there utterly transfixed
He saw an enigma hiding behind hazel eyes
A code he prays he may decipher
To perhaps be the skeleton key
While he stands wholly confounded
He saw all this as if in a dream
A dream he does not wish to end
Wherein he comes across the one
And hopes never to awaken
