It Began
It began out at sea,
It was encouraged by the peaks.
It grew in strength from it's support,
My true heart did it seek.
It was hard and it was fell,
And in it's strike it was true.
It destroyed our chance of happiness,
It destroyed my faith in you.
It was born in a deceit, and it was born in hate despise,
But it was nurtured by your faith, and it was succoured by his lies.
It reached its age of maturity, whilst you abandoned yours,
And with it you consorted, and challenged my true cause.
And now we are torn from each other,
Our love in tears it tries.
But you consigned that love to death,
When you pledged yourself to lies.
