Unattainable Shelly

I came across a pretty stranger poised down on one knee;
she convinced me she could do no harm so our hands fell interweaved.
As we walked and interchanged our diatribes and woes,
I felt a rippled consciousness and from dreamscape I was thrown.
Atop my bed all drenched in sweat - my fever had just broke,
and I found myself in mourning for my illness and its cloak.
Now I know the goddess' grace that dwells on outer rims,
and I've spoken with and herded it beyond my mortal whims.
I'd found her name writ on my palm with ink that fades with sleep:
Shelly the Unattainable, the Ubiquitous, the Deep.
