If you say that there are promises
Look at the sky
There you see the clouds of confusion
Obscuring the truth
There is also the moon
Reflecting the light of something else
Just an image of something other
Also the stars beam at night
Not enough light to see
But enough to confuse
And the sun is in the sky
So bright it blinds
Leaving spots in your mind
And of course the blue sky
Showing enough depression
To see the reality
Of your promises
