Tonight,
My land like my mind
Was becoming flooded in the dark
Of course I went out to explore
And discover
Knee deep in rain,
Chest deep in pain
I trudged about and came upon
An old maple tree
From it the rain poured forth
In silver streams
From branch to leaf
To me
It trickled cool into my mouth
to drink
And I felt relief
One with nature and myself
I wished to abandon all of this
So that I might live in bliss
