A single glance across the room.
My heart jumps inside my chest.
I say I've given up,
but I know that's not the truth.
His eyes still draw me in,
his smile still captivates me.
I long to be in his arms.
I wish to feel his kiss.
But it all seems impossible.
Guard my words,
afraid to let the truth be seen,
Too shy to let him know
he has captured my heart.
So I steal these tiny glances,
scared I'll be seen
and my heart laid bare.
Please save me from this agony.
