Empty driveway,
the pavement scorches my feet.
Empty house,
the bare white walls full of cold emotion.
There's no one left around to watch--
watch me cry a raging river.
My tears rain black
charred by flame,
yet shatter my soul
like a hammer to ice.
Never have I felt so cold
in the heat of my depression.
Still my frozen heart burns for you.
My life is one big contradiction.
Cryogenics, frozen in time
Cold to the touch
but the nerves sear with pain.
The fire of your eyes
speak of your cold-blooded hate.
You thrash at me--
tear my mind in two.
Your fault in fire.
Your fault in ice.
I love you
and I hate you
but I can't change you.
Dead end forward,
dead end back,
so I sit and contemplate my choices.
Forever in my heart.
Divided.
Undecided.
My soul solid sheets of ice.
My mind ablaze with thoughts of you.
