Pass the time alone,

my sorrow my only friend.

My love hidden by lies.

I'm lost within the darkness.

Trapped by my fear,

I can't see a way out.

I am blinded by others hate.

I am hurt by their lies.

My will crushed beneath

an anger not my own.

Let me cry this river.

Let my soul be destroyed.

You don't care for me.

Belittled in your words,

I am invisible.

The surface doesn't hide

my turmoil or my pain.

Please let me be.

Let me dwell

in the frozen peaks

of my broken heart.
