Deep eyes of green stare into my soul

So full of love, I am lost in their gaze.

Arms, so warm and safe, enfold me --

I never want to leave their embrace. 

Hope shines forth from my battered heart

That this time is for real,

That you're finally mine to have and hold

For all the days of my life. 

Time and fate have kept us apart for years

But now we're together and I feel like I'm home. 

Home is  and has always felt like it was,

Wherever you are. 

Even when we were apart,

I'd while away the hours

Wondering where you were

And where life had taken you. 

Never in my wildest imaginings

Did I think your path would lead you back to me.

Vast as the night sky

My love for you is neverending.

I've never wanted someone or something

As much as I crave your presence here beside me.

Every fiber of my being longs for you. 

My heart, my mind, my body, my soul --

All are ablaze with longing,  with love,  with desire.

Devoted to you and you alone, 

I cannot wait to see what our future holds. 

Amazed that after all the time apart

Our love has grown stronger and deeper

And truer than any I have ever known.

Dreaming of the days to come --

My mind sees only you,

My heart beats for your love, 

My body longs for your touch,

My soul feels at peace. 

Now I count the days, the hours,  the minutes

Until we take our next steps

Towards our future together

Towards our forever.
