You left me hanging without ever giving us a start,
for the first couple days we were rarely apart,
why did you even let me hold you? tell me why,
before i lose all sense of hope, shrivel up and die,

i always hope things work out best for you,
make sure you're up cause i truly adore you,
i love the way you wear your hair, way you dress,
way you hold yourself together, way you feel after a test,

there is so much yet to learn but i can't teach you,
i tried my hardest just to reach you,
i was better off alone before we met,
but i wouldn't know of such beauty, a true regret,

from shy girls to open girls, then right to you,
unlike the others i love your every move,
love the way your back feels, way you smile,
way you treat love like it was long ago out of style.
