i should have known, we had so much time to cause a fuss,
i was so into you, barely remembered myself,
completely forgot how to truly love ones self,

i should have known, chested ones always leave,
i should have known, virgins always cause grief,
never saw a warning, until i heard you on the phone,
completely blind, didn't even see you be gone,

i should have known, you're always switchin lips,
i should have known, i was the will to your sips,
still i stand tall, proud to be whoever it is i am,
only do things that benefit me, fuck the rest of em,

i should have known, you two were once so close,
