There is a thin break between here
And the world beyond which we dwell
It is gossamer...
Beautiful and other worldly
For lack of a better description
And in this land, there is a beautiful princess
A dark horse with a single horn
And red, angry eyes;
Menacing eyes
Guards the doors
He lets no one by and no one through
But, you see, this gorgeous maid,
Belongs solely to me
In enchantment's twilight hour
She rides the beast
To our cove by the sea
And many a night
She has lain with me
Her skin is creamy as
The fresh milk from the royal cows
And there is nothing as shining blue-black
As that of her hair
Her voice,
it's like the sea calling soundlessly
And the moon rising fitfully
Is in no match to the illumination of her eyes.
And when I wake,
There is no princess, no milk white maid
Its dreamt again and it's worth more than any
Single thing
Worth more than the love between her and me
And I still smell the faint demureness of the scent she wore
At our cove by the sea
lovely piece
