Moonlight

Beneath a moon so

Cold it looks like glass

Fractured into a thousand pieces

And left scattered across

A dark starless sky.

It drifts lonely and

Filled with sullen,

bitter tears.

Haunted by memories

Of blazing star warmth

And a silky sunny embrace.

I've waited here too long

To worry about the time lost.

Or to leave,

And face wandering

Alone through endless nights

So dark that even

A moon as broken

And sad as the one above

Is desired company

So I will wait

For you to show.

Listening to the thin

Precarious cry of

The wind as it resurfaces,

Rerenders the desert.

A canvas of crumbling

Lines and mirage filled dust.

Sand dunes that climb

Sinuously like snakes

Over the graceful nightscape

Of moonlight, scattered

In its broken meandering path

Across the sky.

Okay that there was one of the best things I have seen here in a long while. The piece I placed above was phenomenal. You defenitely have a gift with words.

Cheers
