i don't want to get to know you
i don't want you to understand me
i don't want you to get close
i don't need you to talk to me
i don't need you to cry with me
i don't need you to help me
i'm doing fine on my own
i don't want you to touch me
i don't want you to hold me in your arms
i don't want you to kiss me
i don't need you to want me
i don't need you to love me
i don't need you to feel sorry for me
i can do that on my own
i don't want you to lean on
i don't want you to stand beside me
i don't want you catch me if i fall
i don't need you to help me back up
i don't need you to stick up for me
i don't need you to watch out for me
i can do all that on my own
the honest to god truth is...
i can't take a compliment
i don't accept gifts
if you're nice to me
you must want something
i know i shouldn't judge you
but you're just like the others
i know i can't trust you
i expect you to wrong me
because you're all out to get me
you all joined forces
you're all up against me
and trying to trick me
this is me Vs. everyone
I liked this poem. In this poem you hit somethings that people feel at some point in their lifes. This poem is especially true for teen. I like your repetition in this poem.
Amanda,
If it's you vs. everyone... does that mean i'm not on your team?
Love,
Jojo
