On table Cholangiogram*
The stack set,
Camera connected,
White balance,
Gas on
The scope sails in …
Sheltered, underneath the liver
In the realms of unknown
It holds the nine worlds
I gently retract to see
The Calot’s triangle
It’s paradox of simplicity
The gods, the giants, the dragon
And the eagle perched,
At the top of the tree
The scissors hesitate,
A little nick
The golden green nectar bleeds
The Asgardians greet by the well
Revenge feeds the giants of Jotunheim°
The dragon gnaws in malice the root
In Hel
I snake the tube into the duct
And push the isotope contrast
It courses down the cascade
It flows freely
And somewhere, the Norn° goddesses
Of past present and future are busy
Spinning the thread of existence
The image intensifier
Stirs
I see it,
Yggdrasil** comes to life
Lights on, stack off.
In the abyss, the dragon’s hiss
Muted by the escaping gas
* X-rays of the biliary tree
** Yggdrasil is an immense tree that is central in Norse mythology, on which the nine worlds existed.

A GRAND FUSION OF MEDICAL TERMS AND LITERARY SYMBOLISMS
This one is special. You are caught up here in two dimensions...two worlds...one of your profession and one of your inherent talent for poetry...and you have fused the two so emotionally well. Simply moving if one really ponders deep. Keep it up my friend. May God Almighty bless you!
