A Blurred Letter ۞

General sɯǝod

A blue car stopped
Close to the gate,
Arrived at just time
Without any late.
A man alighted
With all his luggage,
Not so young but
Having middle age.
Gently he walks
Towards the door,
Making no sound
Up on the floor.
With a gentle touch
He pushed the bell-
Mysterious this story
I’m going to tell!
A woman said, “hey
Who is there?”
The man replied,
“Mom, I’m here.”
His mother was so
Astonished with joy,
Saying that, “Come!
My tiny little boy!
Where have you been
For so many years?”
Then her eyes were
Filled with tears.
The man hugged her,
Giving a kiss-
“Mom it’s just you
Whom I always miss.”
His mom told him,
To take a rest.
Seems like little bird
Back to it’s nest!
The man became fresh
Taking a shower.
Home seemed to him
As nice as a flower!
Then he proceeded to
Finish the pray-
Mom, then come with
Lunch, full of tray.
She prepared for him
Lots of foods,
Nonpareil those are-
Than any other goods.
Mom said, “20 year ago
A letter came.
That’s yours, you may
Know the name.”
“So many years ago
When I went,
Twenty years of life
Where I spent!”
“Yes, right”, she said
With a smile-
He took the letter
With a hand agile.
The yellow envelope,
Letters looked blurred.
Kept that beside bed,
As he was so tired.
Leaning on pillow he
Opened the occult,
The writing was not
Like a man adult.
He sharply looked at it
Could remember nothing.
Ransacked his memory,
For the crypt searching.
Suddenly a light
Shone in his mind-
Become pale with sorrow
When got the secret find.
Nobody knows what was
Written in the letter,
The man who read
Knew it better.
No one knows
What happened next-
Everything can not be
Written in the text.

I love this one. It's a bit edgy but nice all in one 'package' <3 Nice work.

i like the relationship between the mother and the son. When an American person writes poems, u dont see that relationship very prominent. good job and keep writing. Id like to see u make a century of poems soon :)

I wanted to comment on how this poem is exquisite. A man once boy has come home to his mother... Really good job, mate. And, I also wanted to say thanks to your comments on my poems. Best of luck,
Cassie♥
