Zombie myth#1 Zombies are the dead come back to life
While there have been cases of infected appearing to be dead, they are in fact still alive, though the heart rate can slow to the point of not being registered, they are not the resurrected dead. It has been argued however, that once the affects take hold, they are in fact dead, as the human side ceases to exist and all that is left is a savage, soulless monster that lacks humanity and reasoning.
