to say hello

or maybe just goodbye

but at least that's something

I'd like to read your poetry

but only if you read mine

and I understand

nobody has the time

to listen

instead of speak

but I feel I can't ontrol my voice

I'd like to be there for you

but only if you're there for me

and I understand

you don't have the time

I'd like to say

neither do I

but I know damn well-
