Lying on the floor

opening my eyes to see you

saving me

and I see with every time

it's getting harder

the burden carved deeper

into your skin

I know you dream of the day

I'll wake up myself again

I know you don't deserve this

Please just cast me away

With every stitch

it's that much harder

Each time I bleed

I know you bleed for me

Get away from me

you make me sick

and I don't want to see

how many tears you shed

Stay away from me

I'll only tear you down

with every stitch

For every time you caught me

find the strength to let me fall

For every time you picked me up

find the strengh to throw me down

You don't have to save me

Lace me up again

press a bandage against my skin

Knowing all the while

you cannot save me

from myself

the enemy within
