They sympathize

They do not know

it was my fault

I stood by your side

I saw Hell in your eyes

I hear Death in your sighs

Why did you die?

I could have held your hand

I could have eased the pain

You would have done

I saw you laughter

turn to tears

I feel you turn away

I feel you slip away

I saw you do it

No one knows

but you and me

I watched you die

I didn't say no

I watched you fall

I saw you fail

You tried to claw

Your way out

but you knew

you wouldn't make it

You cried out for help

You cried out my name

I don't know why

I never answered
