Love To Forgive

Once you achieve the ability to forgive;

the ability to love will blossom into your soul.

Opening a whole new world of opportunity

You might never see the same way.

Everything you thought you knew

will suddenly disappear.

Soon enough you are blinded,

you can't see the whole picture.

As the love turns sour,

you begin to forgive again.

Remembering why you fell in love

at the start.

You are then reborn

into a relationship of

unconditional love.

You don't look back,

why would you anyway?

You're so happy now.

Vocabulary expansion needed

see dictionary for synonyms for each word in the poem. a simile or metaphor would enhance versification mechanics. simple theme complex drama i.e., forgotten like a rotten love potion. experiment with the seeable image. if love blooms from forgiveness where are the roses and peonies? follow image through. i.e., reaching for the sun forgiveness, bees to blossom watch loving multiply. Have fun. Stretch verbal muscles, it's open verse. ~s~

the most important purpose of this work

is the reality of forgivness and how you filter this reality through your memory which serves as inspiration for the narrative as well as your feminine perspective. To me poetry means to engage in a continuing reflection on the essence of memories. This world around us, this is the work, this is what is “real” the senses of sight, smell, touch, hearing and taste, and dreams, awake or sleeping. Also, there are the imperceptible senses, the ones that make us who we are and who we are not. These are the memories of the human experience. Keep writing I encourage you to read the classics, to check your grammar and your spelling. These are only technicalities, but they help to form your basis in creativity it gives richness to the words and phrases.
