Let Me Save You

I hear you crying.

I offer you my shoulder.

Yet you push me away.

I offer you everything,

Yet you continue to tell me “no”

Is it that you don’t want love?

Or is it just that you don’t want love from me?

Is my love dirty or tainted in some way,

That my concealed eyes can not see?

Why won’t you let me save you,

Just this once!

You act so strong during the day,

Like you’re superwoman.

But I hear you crying in your room at night.

I hear you screaming in your sleep.

Just let me save you.

I know I can be strong enough for the two of us,

Even if it’s just for a little while.
