I lost a friend today.
She said we’d be together for forever, in every way.
But life can get cold, and friends can get old.
And everything you cherish can be gone like it was yesterday…
So don’t let anyone bring you down.
Don’t let anyone make you frown.
I know that you’re not feeling well,
I know that you feel bad…
But god, I hate to see you when you’re sad…
You’ve got to hold on to what you believe.
You’ve got to keep everything you’ve got close.
When you need a friend,
I’ll be here till the end,
I won’t abandon you when you need a friend.
I hear that you lost again…
I’m here cause I know you need a friend…
And you know, that friends come and go,
But it’s ok…
We all fall of the wagon sometimes,
It’s not your whole life,
It’s only one day.
