the slapstick phantom

the slapstick phantom

I died of laughter

said the slapstick phantom

by the grave of Mary sue.

He was talking to the rabbit

of the great havoc

of the time the crime was due.

It was horrible, he sighed

With one eyebrow coked up

I really did try but he just wouldn’t stop!

And that was what the slapstick phantom said

with a tear trailing down his cheek

he was cursed with a smile that just wouldn’t desist

Interesting piece. I like that it was an upbeat poem. There's too many depressing, morbid pieces online anymore. IT's like no one writes when they're happy anymore. Thanks for the smile.

Hehe, i liked this lots. The flow was very natural when read aloud and the concept was interesting and clever. Favourite lines...

'I died of laughter
said the slapstick phantom'

'he was cursed with a smile that just wouldn’t desist'

...awesome work. Keep it up.
