The Beautiful View

In a room where light and shadows dance,

A window stands, a silent trance.

Its panes are etched with skies so blue,

A view that's breathtaking and true.

Yet whispers come from winds that pass,

A breeze that chills like shattered glass.

The beauty fades as tears descend,

A heart that aches, a soul to mend.

Remember this, when night is nigh,

And stars above in silence sigh.

No view, no sight, no scene so grand,

Is worth the hurt, the pain at hand.

Close the window, draw the drape,

Let not the past your spirit scrape.

For though the vista gleams so bright,

Your peace, your heart, must take its flight.

The view will fade, the wounds will heal,

The scars will show what you conceal.

But in the closing, strength you'll find,

A heart restored, a settled mind.

So turn away, embrace the night,

Let shadows fade in morning's light.

For beauty, dear, is in the heart,

And peace within is where you start.
