When We Don't Love Ourselves

In shadows deep where sorrows grow,

We often cast a heartless blow,

For in ourselves, a love denied,

Breeds wounds in others far and wide.

A heart that's lost, a soul astray,

Finds solace in a darker way,

Projecting pain from deep within,

And thus the cycle does begin.

But when we turn and face our fears,

Embrace our flaws, dry bitter tears,

A light within begins to gleam,

Awakening a long-lost dream.

For loving self is not in vain,

It heals our hearts, it mends our pain,

And as we cherish who we are,

We change our world, both near and far.

In self-compassion, we find grace,

A softer smile, a kinder face,

And those we meet along the way,

Feel love’s true warmth, both night and day.

So seek within, and there you'll find,

A love that's gentle, pure, and kind,

And with this love, your heart will see,

A world transformed, in harmony.
