The sugar high has hit my blood

And my head is reeling.

I am ready to take on the world

With this way I'm feeling.



All my senses are on alert-

I've now got 'pep' to spare.

You say you'd like some help with that?

I'll help you anywhere.



You! Over there! What's up with you?

Are you having trouble?

Those three bullies are bugging you?

I'm there on the double!



I'm racing, turning round and round

Looking for excitement.

My head's abuzz with plans and schemes.

I need no enticement.



Gradually the feeling fizzles,

Leaving me depleted.

My ordinary self is back

Sugar's been defeated.
