Amamus Ergo Sum

More precious than gold is my Love to me

And sweeter than wild honey are my days

As I bathe in this glow that's heavenly

With its power to please me in all ways.

Resplendant as the night sky are we both,

Attired in wedding garments of love.

To each other we have a soul-deep oath

And it is bound with blessings from above.

As water cascades from the mountain heights

The flow of our love, once stirred, will not cease.

This sort of love, so full of great delights,

Will always and forever more increase.

O glorious love, gifted to us now

We will fulfill your promise, this we vow.

I think - thus I AM - said the philospher,- but these magnificent lines know so much better.
I love - thus I AM.
And even in the thrill of fulfillment there is still room for an INCREASE. (Charles Peguy)
Splendid and so inspirational lines.
Thank you Fleur for sharing your insight with us.
