Betrayed again!

Maelstrom of emotion-

His lack of true devotion

One drop in the ocean

Of deceit.



Betrayed again!

Black wetness of despair

Heart torn open and laid bare

No place to hide. Nowhere!

Just exposed.



Betrayed again!

In my naiveté

Once again the foolish prey.

Now, with my heart I pay;

Can't go on.



Betrayed again!

Hate again turned inward.

Time, so it seems, runs backward.

Think of me with one word -

Betrayed!
