Footnote:
The annual barbarism and brutality of sled dog
slavery and torture in the Iditarod race continues.
It is a 938 mile race held in early March annually in which 16 sled dog victims tied together are forced to run in a team for 8 to 15 days. The trail is
from Anchorage Alaska to Nome, Alaska. Teams are made up of 16 dog victims.
Dogs die of
I Human incompetence
1. sleds breaking down
2. loss of or insufficient food on journey
3 whiteout snowstorms
II Human cruelty
1 heart attacks from forced speed..
2 whippings to increase speed
3 exhaustion
4. sabotage by other teams
III Accidents Or Diseases
1. falling into chasms
2. drowning in lake ice cracks
3. Branch slaps to eyes
4. Bites of other suffering dogs cause injury or bleeding to death
5. freezing from wound exposure
6. tangled chain strangulation
7. tangled chains cutting off leg circulation etc
8. food poisoning
9. broken necks, legs, spines
10. thorns or barbs or broken glass or sharp rocks
piercing dogs' foot pads
11. Other etc etc
The dogs are expendable to the profiteers and the trophy-driven humans.
Do humans even win the race if several of their dogs die along the way? Who knows if replacement dogs are secreted in?
