The news reports March of 2019 that at California's Santa Anita
racetrack 21 horses have been killed in 2 months since Dec of 2018.
... all horse racing is violent and a form of slavery in which
barn fires, frequent changes of residence, cruel jockeys with whips and spurs,
broken necks and legs are frequent happenings. Horses whose legs are
broken are killed rather than profit oriented owners saving their lives
through veterinary care.
