BONSAI

He took
the circus elephant
off the stool..
and replanted
the Bonsai tree
to ground from vase
and opened the door
of his window
to release the caged
bird to those calling
her from outside.

Every being he
saw.. he gave
root space... or
wings.. or
newminted freedom.

With his full knapsack
lightly on his back
trips merrily the hobo
playing his obo

BIRCH SHADOWS IN THE SUN

On the snow the sun
projects the shadows
of birch trees
in parallel bars..
yet do they have
no power to confine

The Statue of Liberty has two
sisters.. they dwell in the
Seine and in the Luxembourg
Gardens of France...

When regimes are involved
in illegal wars, the ribbons
of spirit connecting
their countries to others
are unrecognized.

Beyond all the artisans

beyond chambers partitions
  and the roomy

CLOUDCLAD CLAYCLOAKED CLOSETCLOTHED

the sky.. cloudclad..
   in clemency gives away all her
   rain raiment
   Unveiled now is the sun..
   resplendent in His purity.
   The earth.. claycloaked..
   transmutes herself into fruit
   The agent.. closetclothed..
   no longer wishes the tension of lies
   and secrecy.. of a double life..
   Spirit fires have touched him.
   He chooses the Master over Mammon.

RAIN AT SEA

Rain at sea
is not redundancy

COLORING OUTSIDE THE LINES

As the lamp cannot contain its light
but is in LoveLight immersed
As the child does not crayon within
the lines.. but colors everywhere
As the peace of the soul flows
beyond the form of the soul
so Spirit is never contained
in the body's vessel..
the body is the unnecessary boat
for its own Spirit pon which it floats

DETERMINISM OR FREEDOM

There are genetic determinists,
sexual determinists,
(Freudians)
astrological
determinists,
economic determinists.. (Marxists)
historical determinists
karmic determinists
.. but the full range of
options is available to anyone
at any time..

We are birds poised on a cage
.. we do not need to stand on
the top rung of the ladder
in order to decide to fly

DOMINE DOMINATES

Only Domine can dominate
a Dominican or a Dominic.
That is the Spirit
domino theory.

The weathervane
was painpinned
blowing every way

As the plane rises
the cloud curtain of
the sky theatre
parts.. revealing
a scene of green woods
giving way to white sand
and blue sea.

As the plane descends
.. one is low enough
to see the roads
but not yet the moving cars
.. like those who do
not yet know you well
enough to read your thoughts

Once one wakes
from maya's dreams
the list of responsibilities
in the dream

AWAKENING

Awakening as
dreamshards have shattered

BAMBOO CAGE

The suntiger appears
confined in a cage of bamboo
but as he rises above the grove
it is seen that he was always
free.

SIX POINT JAIL

PALACE GUARD

He was a palace guard

melted and

Did God think of what human souls felt
in deciding when into Spirit Sea they'd melt?

They take off and alight
