Horse racing
Horses are whipped in training and on the racetrack.
They are kicked with metal spurs. Metal bits are inserted
in their sensitive mouths to control their directions by force.
In races those who have broken legs or broken necks are
killed by needle
Some die in barn fires.
Many are shipped from place to place never having
a permanent home.
Racehorses are slaves. They are kept confined in
stalls for much of the time.
Some after a lifetime of running their hearts out
are repaid by a trip to a Mexican or European
slaughterhouse. They are eaten.
Other blood sports: war, hunting, boxing, bullfighting, cockfighting, football etc.
Thank you for bringing these
Thank you for bringing these heartbreaking facts into our awareness and dispelling the myths that racehorses are treated well because they are valuable commodities to some. I pray this shameful practice ends one day.
