Why does anyone who is not on-duty with the active military, or on-duty with law enforcement, need an assault weapon?
Come on, look at the name: ASSAULT. What about that is difficult to understand? The weapons are designed to due mass damage to a human being's body.
Does an owner of an assault rifle, who is not military or in law-enforcement, need such a gun for hunting---do blow away eighteen rabbits, squirrels, or chipmonks?
Does the owner of that rifle need it for home defence, in case the home is invaded by eighteen looters?
Or does the owner of that rifle, if male, needed it to soothe his anxiety about a small penis, or a lack of testosterone, or the way his romantic partner laughts hysterically when he drops his pants?
I cannot think of one sane reason for a person not military and not in law enforcement to own such a weapon. Can you tell me if there is a sane reason?
