+ 1ST Тропарь, 2: On 1 John 4:8b

[for Patriciajj]

Love, Who is our God loves us.

Love has set stars above us.

Love is aware---we fail much.

But Love redeems us from such

faults and foul sins that ruin us.

Death---hovering, ravenous---

cannot wrest us from Love's grasp.

Faith knows our destination:

Love's Kingdom in the Heavens,

beyond the distant star fields:

Love's Kingdom---real, eternal.

Your gift of splendor and

Your gift of splendor and supreme Truth, that triumphs over this earthly abyss that "cannot wrest us from Love's grasp", came at a most crucial time. In fact, it is miraculous that I received this poetic gold on this day because I prayed for reassurance concerning a personal conundrum.

And here it is: elegantly stitched threads of wisdom, victory and imperishable hope that depicts the answer (To everything!) so clearly.

I love the clean-cut ribbons of ultimate reality that reminds us that "Love, Who is our God" is still in charge and that, when all is said and done, and for all our fretting and fuming, our "destination" is, without a doubt, "beyond the distant star fields".

This is so magnificent on many levels that I can't help but be deeply humbled and honored by the dedication.

Brightest blessings.
