Yet [*/+/^] : 27.225 MHz, Some Final Measures; On Mark 4:39 [for my Friend and Brother, Stephen]

Oh my soul, enter into jubilant spirituality---

and embrace your assurance with a new and vital thrill;

rejoice in the great Apostle's Gospel of certainty

that tells us Jesus calmed storms, like to our storms, on Galilee,

with this holy rebuke and the glorious words:  Peace, be still.

Revisiting this because I was

Revisiting this because I was distracted last night and unable to give these words of gold the analysis they deserved.

If the Almighty were to give a poet an assignment to create the most effective invitation to a celebration of comfort, healing and ultimate peace, you would be up to the task and these would be the winning words. I just couldn't think of a better scripture to utilize, with its demonstration of dominion and victory over all things, including every human fear and every affliction and every peril we could ever face.

Although this is dedicated to one special person, it has a universal message packaged in language that reaches so far and so deep as only a true poet can reach.

The last words, the quoted Words, illuminate scripture in a way that couldn't be more transformative and powerful.

The gift floods our mortal realm with light and I, personally, am richer for it.

Namaste, radiant Poet

I am humbled by your kind

I am humbled by your kind comments on this poem.  The person to whom it is dedicated bears the same name as my very Beloved friend at college, and this to me was a significant reason in the dedication, which came to mind before the poem was even finished.  Thank you so much for your comments.

I am certain that, as you

I am certain that, as you wrote these words, Spirit filled your mind and heart and Heaven rejoiced. I felt lifted above the Earth as I read this immaculately sublime, truly inspired, psalm-like tribute.

Be abundantly blessed, Celestial Poet.
