Yet [*/+/^] : Zealously Praying, Too, *In Whatsoever State I Am*

. . . for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am,

therewith to be content.

---Philippians 4:11

Thank you, Lord, for the profound blessing of Your Grace

that enfold me in its gentle and spiritual embrace

that I might be content to appreciate this place;

to know that even the most minute of my circumstances

serve your purpose and not merely Random Chance's.

These afflictions and aggravations are not shackles or bars

to keep me immobolized, impounded and confined:

rather they are the launchpad from which I will soar to the stars,

right through the Cosmos that You, Who are Love, designed.

Starward, an Orthodox Christian

Author's Notes/Comments:

The poem also alludes to Romans 8:28, 1 John 4:8, and Colossians 1:16.
