And so you hide

In ways I can’t digest

If you feel it too

I’m feeling second best



An ache that can’t be measured

Or even trialed

Is love worth having

If it only stays awhile?



I know night will creep

With a darkness that hums

I can’t stand to look at

the disappointment I have become
