it's raining in London
and everything always changes
darkness creeps in so suddenly
not even rainbows could color this sky
for the dark is taking over
you will be free the moment
you accept the fact that you are getting older
and everything always changes
nothing you say can change this fact
those were the golden days
but it's nothing you want to take back
hold the railing with your hand
feel it's securities
as if it's something you felt you had
but you suddenly remember no feeling lasts
the only thing that is permanent is the past
oh how the years use to go by so fast
now you just want them to colorlessly past
with no memories or pain
with no title or name
you are just looking for an excuse
to feel the smallest amount of feelings your heart can produce
the room is forever quiet, silence is welcomed there
words will just hurt your ears, you'd rather be spared
but then a hummingbird visits your windowsill
and stares at you straight in the eye so still
the color in it's eyes reminds you of spring
and it's feather reminds you of everything
Everything you use to live for
and everything you now lost
it suddenly occurs to you
the risk of love is worth the cost
but now you are lonely
you are no one
you have been forgotten
you became undone
you breathe in the world but don't breathe it out
you try to break free, but you are a prisoner of your own doubt
the sky is still grey and you still feel pathetic
you take your life and use your regrets as an anesthetic
I loved the ending. (last four lines) Great 'ring' to the entire piece.
